Being Prepared

Does the Maze still open when it's raining?
Yes. There are very few times over the last ten years that we have actually closed the maze, if we are experiencing a monsoon then it may be advisable to call the farm office and check before you travel.

What should we wear?
You will be visiting a working farm and the Maize Maze is a growing crop built each year into a regular field. The paths are well prepared and free of stones, but solid footwear suitable for walking distances is advisable. Do dress appropriately for the weather conditions, if it is hot, do remember a sun hat, and if it looks like rain, a waterproof jacket and a brolley would be a good idea. If you are visiting us on a "Pyjama Party" torch light evening - be brave and wear pyjamas!

Is the Maze and Funyard pushchair and wheelchair friendly?
The maze pathways are fairly smooth and compacted, however there are eight huge gallery bridges that form giant walkways across the top of the growing Maize crop. You don't need to use the bridges to complete the maze, but it may take you slightly longer. If you decide to use the bridges and have a pushchair you will need to be prepared to carry them up and down the steps.

What if we get lost?
We hope you do, but if you need assistance finding your way out then staff will be on hand to help you.
